Recycling
Service
Emmons provides two means
of recycling: curbside pick up and on-site drop-off.
The drop-off site is available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
and Saturdays, 8:00am to 3:00pm.
We accept the following:
Newspaper
- brown paper grocery bags, catalogs,
magazines, phone books, cereal and clothing boxes.
- Stack in a grocery bag or tie with string.
Glass
- Rinse all food and beverage jars and bottles.
- Remove lids and rings.
- Paper labels do not need to be removed.
- DO NOT INCLUDE light bulbs, chemical containers,
window glass, mirrors, ceramics or Pyrex ware.
Styrofoam
- Rinse clean and store exclusively in clear bag.
- When bag is full, tape, staple, or tie shut. New
bag will be left.
- No pellets.
Tin, steel and aluminum
- Please remove labels, rinse and crush your cans to
conserve space until recycling day.
- DO NOT INCLUDE paint cans, aerosol cans or automotive
product cans.
- Opaque plastics (milk, water and juice containers); HDPE detergent
bottles are accepted.
- Rinse and step on these containers to conserve space
until recycling day.
- Please DO NOT INCLUDE caps and lids, plastic wrap
or oil containers.
Cardboard
- Please break down all boxes.

- Pick up or delivery

Note: The pick-up schedule for recycling is every
other week on your current trash pick-up day.
